Welcome! Dear Parents……...Our children are “gifts” from God. He has loaned us these precious gifts for a time that only He knows. The responsibility given us is to love, raise, nurture and train up God’s children to be responsible, respectful Christians. Children in grades preschool through high school are invited to attend Sunday School each Sunday morning from 9:20-10:15 a.m. in the church basement classrooms. We use the CPH (Concordia Publishing House) curriculum titled " Growing In Christ". This is an exciting new curriculum for all ages, including adults. Sunday School Information Registration If you would like for your child to attend our Sunday School on a regular basis, please register them in the Sunday School office during the Sunday School hour. This gives us a way to contact you or your child and also to recognize them on their birthday. If your child has health concern that we should be aware of, ask for a health concern form so we can respond appropriately. Preschool Age Guidelines: We have two age cutoff dates. Sept. 1: Children who have turned 3 on or before Sept. 1 may start Sunday School as early as September. Jan. 1: Children who turn 3 on Sept. 2-Dec. 31 may enroll in Sunday School and start the first Sunday in January. Children turning 3 years old after Jan. 1 are asked to wait until the following fall to begin Sunday School. Thank-you for using these age guidelines when you enroll your child. Attendance Awards Children who have attended Sunday School a total of 13 Sundays during the school year are given a certificate and gift rewarding them for their faithful attendance. We believe that regular attendance nurtures both faith and friendship with fellow believers. Thank-you for bringing your child (ren) to Sunday School each week! Birthdays We like to celebrate your child's birthday at Sunday School. On the Sunday near your child's birthday they can come up front during opening and add their age in pennies to the Birthday Bank. They will also receive a special gift from our treasure box as a gift for their birthday. " Happy Birthday and May God Bless You! " Summer Sunday School June is a fun month for Sunday School. During that month we change the format and enjoy multi-age groups and various activities, like treasure hunts and trivia games. Classes are not held during July and the first weeks of August, resuming after school starts in the fall. Offering Offering envelopes are available for families, see Sunday School office or teacher. This money is used to support mission projects throughout the year. Christmas Program Our Children lead a Christmas service each year, alternating between Christmas Eve and the Sunday evening just before Christmas Day. This is a favorite time for many of our children and their parents (and grandparents)! Service Opportunities Sunday School is a great place for parents to volunteer and be part of their children's activities. If you have the gift of helping in a classroom, teaching, singing, or organizing, please consider being a part of our all-volunteer staff. If you are new to Trinity, this is also a great way to meet other families within our congregation. We promise to match you up with something that suits you well. Newsletters Take a quarterly newsletter from the box on the Sunday School office door to keep up with happenings in Sunday School. These are sent home with the children the first several Sundays after they are printed, but always available to you should you need a new one.
